International Conference in Kiel on 2-3 February 2017
On 2-3 February 2017, a Conference "EU Civil Procedure Law and Third Countries: Which Way Forward?" will be held at Kiel University.

Target group: Academic lawyers and practitioners (also from politics or international organisations) interested in cross-border litigation and judicial cooperation..

Conference fee: 100,-- € (5,-- €/ day for students and professors/assistants of Kiel University). Fee reductions available for members of DGO, SHJG and Verein Ostrecht Kiel e. V.
The purpose of the Conference is to develop concrete ideas about future steps to enhance judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters between the EU and third countries. The conference will deal both with relevant EU law on this subject (Brussels I bis Regulation and related regulations) and with international treaties or soft law relating to judicial cooperation. The conference will not address judicial cooperation in matters of family law and succession law.
